TATTOO DESIGN

THEATRE
I have had the pleasure of knowing June Scott-Barfield and Aesthetic-I-Designs for several years. During that time my wife and I have employed her for several projects in our home. As my wife and I entertain frequently in our home, it was important to us that the interior reflected an upscale and fashionable appearance. Our living room now shows a beautiful multi-layered accent wall, complete with custom draperies. The furnishings we selected with her help and guidance. June started with one piece of art that we had hung and proceeded to create a kitchen straight out of the Tuscan hills. She created a faux marble finish for the walls, and hand painted full grape vines, giving the area a wonderful live feel.
The crowing achievement for me has to be our new bar area. June created an accent wall that looks exactly like old, worn, red leather from the chairs of an executive men’s club. The reproduction is so accurate that my friends have to actually touch it to prove that it is paint and not actual leather. That wall then became the background for a system of display shelves holding both display liquor bottles and bar style memorabilia, giving the area a very stylish appearance that is both comfortable and commands attention without being overbearing.

I had June come into my home and help me decide on how to decorate my spare bedroom and my kitchen. She took my drab spare room and made it come to life. Now I escape to that perfect bedroom when I want to be alone, read or watch TV. She also transformed my dingy yellow kitchen. She painted the walls a gorgeous yellow and deep red with a checkerboard border on one wall. She even helped me display my rooster collection in an attractive way. I absolutely love it! I am not finished with June just yet, she has done such a good job and I want her to do the rest of my home!

During a networking event, I won a wall makeover from aesthetic I design. June came to our home and asked us many questions about our living space and what we wanted from it. I expected her to come in and paint a wall a new color and leave, but she really took the time to get to know my wife and I, finding out what kind of people we were and how we used our living space. She then presented a few ideas and let us decide which direction to go. Should I remind you that she did this for free? Her idea is now the focus of our living room and everyone loves it. June is fair, honest and hard working. She is full of great ideas and does fantastic work.
PS. I think she might have been a few months pregnant to boot!! Did not stop her at all.

FAUX FINISH / CUSTOM WALL
I feel so lucky to have met June when we did. We were moving into a new house, and my husband wanted the new house to be decorated and look like “a picture in a magazine”. I started to panic. I have very little confidence when it comes to picking out furniture, colors, artwork and accessories that actually go together so I turned to June for help. She asked both of us questions about our lifestyles and molded our house into our home. We mixed in new pieces with existing and stayed nicely within our budget. She took old outdated art and touched them up or painted over them altogether. We ALWAYS receive compliments on our house when people come to visit. My children are so lucky to have individually tailored rooms that convey their personalities and interests. My son lives in Cadenville with Thomas the Tank Engine and my daughter has all of her favorite words and memories painted on her walls.
